Following a former CSX railroad corridor, the Suwannee River Greenway offers 12.5 miles of eight-foot wide paved trail for walkers, joggers, and cyclists through the peaceful countryside. Beginning three miles north of the Town of Branford, the trail proceeds southbound, running parallel to US-129. In Branford, the greenway turns east to follow US-27 towards the Ichetucknee River. The trail connects to the O’Leno to Ichetucknee Trail after crossing the Ichetucknee River. An additional segment of the trail between Branford and the Ichetucknee River runs south along CR 49 for 2.5 miles to Guy Lemmon Memorial Park and the Santa Fe River. The greenway runs through the heart of the Town of Branford and during the winter the trail is beautifully decorated and illuminated for the Branford Lights Christmas display. The only restroom and water fountain along the trail is located at Ivey Memorial Park.
