GAME SCHEDULES
Youth Soccer Information
Dear Soccer Participants,
We thank you for registering your child to participate in our Youth Soccer Program this year. We strive to make your family’s experience an enjoyable one. We hope that your participation in youth soccer will instill a passion for the game of soccer in you and your child. We aim to teach participants the value of teamwork, sportsmanship, fair play and physical fitness while teaching and improving the fundamental skills of the game. Please review the information in this packet and feel free to contact us with any questions you may have. We can be reached by telephone between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday, at (386) 362-3004.
We offer four age divisions of play in our youth soccer program:
6U – for players 5 and 6 years of age; games are played 6 v 6 (with a goalie)
8U – for player 7 and 8 years of age; games are played 8 v 8 (includes the goalie)
10U – for players 9 and 10 years of age; games are played 9 v 9 (includes the goalie)
13U – for players 11 through 13 years of age; games are played 11 v 11 (includes the goalie)
Please note that a player’s age will be determined as of January 1st
Your coach will contact you within 48 hours after your draft to inform you of your practice schedule.
Please note that there is no player draft for the 6U division. Teams in this age division will be formed by Suwannee Parks & Recreation staff. We will attempt to balance 6U teams equally by age and gender.
For those players in the 6U division, your coach will contact you no later than December 12th to inform you of your scheduled practice times.
Shin Guards and Cleats:
All players must furnish their own shin guards and cleats for every practice and game. Players will not be permitted to participate without shin guards. Cleats must be made of rubber or plastic and cannot have a cleat under the front toe area of the shoe. No metal cleats or baseball/football style cleats are allowed.
Soccer Balls:
We encourage each player to bring their own ball with them to each practice. Coaches have been provided with a limited number of soccer balls and players will develop their skills faster if everyone has a ball to practice with. Make sure you know what size soccer ball your player needs and make sure to write their name on the ball for easy identification.
6U – Uses a Size 3 soccer ball
8U – Uses a Size 4 soccer ball
10U – Uses a Size 4 soccer ball
13U – Uses a Size 5 soccer ball
Practices:
Practices are scheduled to begin on Monday, December 13th. All teams will practice the last week of school before the Suwannee School District Christmas Break. During Christmas Break, coaches may hold optional practices with players that are available to practice. Do not worry if you will be out of town over the holidays and miss a practice! Normal practices will resume after Christmas Break.

Games are tentatively scheduled to begin on Saturday, January 8th. Game schedules will not be available until January and will be posted on our web site, www.suwanneeparks.com. Please note that there is a $1.00 admission fee to all games.
Uniforms:
All participants will receive a team uniform as part of their registration fee. Team uniforms consist of a jersey, pair of shorts, and socks. Please do not practice in your team uniform! Uniforms will be available the week before your first scheduled game.
